Laziza Karahi / Fry meat Masala with Garlic and Ginger 90 g (Spice Mix)
INGREDIENTS: Red Chilli, Coriander, Salt. Roasted Cumin Powder, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Dried Ginger 3 %, Dried Garlic 3 %.
RECIPE: KARAHI / FRY MEAT (Fried Meat with Tomatoes and Green Chillies)
- Meat (Mutton, Chicke or Beef) small pieces………..1½ kg
- Tomatoes medium sized (ripe, unripe and cut………6–8 (500 g)
- Whole green chillies (medium)…………………………..6–8 tablespoons or 2–3 inch piece / 40 g
- Cooking Oli / Ghee…………………………………………..1½–2 cups (250 g)
- LAZIZA KARAHI/ FRY MEAT MASALA…………….one bag only
EASY STEPS
- In a small utensil, put meat, ginger slices, Laziza Karahi / Fry Meat Masala (one bag) and add 1–2 glasses of water. Cover and cook on lower / medium fire until tender (ensure that, when the meat is tender at least 1 cup of liquid curry should remain).
- In a separate utensil fry tomatoes for about 10–15 minutes in ghee / oil till half done.
Now put meat with curry, whole green chillies to the fried tomatoes. - Cover and cook on high flame for 5 minutes and 10 minutes on low flame.
Garnish with chopped green coriander and serve with fresh salad.
Fry Meat Add one cup (150 g) yoghurt and remove ginger from above recipe
- Stir fry meat and laziza Karahi / Fry Meat Masal (one bag only) in ghee / oil for 2–4 minutes.
- Put yoghurt, tomatoes and cook until tender and ghee / oil separates.
- Add green chillies about 10 minutes before tenderising. Fry Meat is ready.
Balti Meat Add 4 (250 g) medium sized onions (cut in 4–6 pieces) and 5–6 tablespoon of bottled or fresh lemon juice in the recipe of Karahi / Fry Meat.
- Follow step No. 1 of Karahi / Fry Meat recipe.
- In a separate utensil heat ghee / oil then put cooked meat along with masala and fry for 5 minutes on high flame while stirring continuously.
- Add tomatoes (cut in 4–6 pcs), onions (cut in 4–6 pcs) and whole green chillies, cover and cook on low flame for 10–20 minutes. Now add lemon juice, delicious Balti Meat is ready.
