Laziza Haleem Mix with Garlic and Ginger 375 g (Spices, Pulses and Grains Mix)
INGREDIENTS: Processed Wheat, Pulses, Barley, Red Chilli, Salt, Coriander, Turmeric, Roasted Cumin Powder, Black Pepper, Dried Garlic, Dried Ginger, Cinnamon, Clove, Mace, Cardamoms, Bay Leaves.
RECIPE: Laziza Haleem Mix
- Meat (Mutton, Chicken or Beef)……………………………………………500–700 g
(preferably large boneless portions.) - Cooking Oil/Ghee……………………………………………………………….2 cups (300 g)
- Onion (medium sized)…………………………………………………………1 finely sliced
- Ginger slices, Green Chillies, fresh Coriander Leaves,
fresh Lemon or Juice and fried Onions……………………………………to your taste - LAZIZA HALEEM MIX…………………………………………………………one packet only
(Contain one bag of spice mix and one bag of grains pulses.)
EASY STEPS:
- Wash and soak the grains and pulses in water for 1-2 hours.
- In a large utensil heat half quantity (1 cup) of oil/ghee. Put meat and Laziza Haleem Mix spices bag and fry for 3–4 minutes. Add soaked grains and pulses, put 12–15 glasses of water, cover and cook on low fire till the meat/grains and pulses becomes completely tender. Stir occasionally.
- Blend thoroughly with the help of wooden spoon to form a coarse paste or put half quantity in a blender for coarse grinding. (Do not make very fine paste) and then mix in the remaining half.
- Fry sliced onion in the remaining ghee/oil (one cup) until golden brown and add to the haleem.
Cook for another 5-10 minutes on low flame.
Serve haleem with chopped green coriander, green chillies, ginger slices, fried onion, fresh lemon and Laziza Chaat Masala.
